Non-Uniform day for the school fair

Recently we had a non-uniform day for the school fair. We were allowed to dress in our normal clothes all day if we brought in a gift for the parents present grotto at the Christmas fair. It was really fun and we all enjoyed seeing each other in our normal clothes.

School Chrismas Fair

On Saturday 28th November, we went to the Fleckney school Christmas Fair.  Here there were a lot of activities to do: there was guess the name of the teddy; decorate your own baubles; Christmas tree decorations; raffles; tombola and even the big man himself was there - Santa had come to wish us all a Merry Christmas. The school choir also took part which added a little bit of Christmas spirit to the occasion. Nothing like Christmas songs to get everyone in the Christmas mood. There was a lot of prizes to be won, I won the name the teddy bear, he was called Jeff! Fun was had by all.

The police visit Fleckney School

Last week the police came into School. They told us about real-life stories, which were quite violent, and what it would be like to be drunk. Also they told us about drugs and how they're bad to take, we found out that cannabis is a class-A drug. My favourite part was when my teacher (Miss Panter) put on the "drunken" goggles and tried to do basic things!!!

Road Safety

A group of year 6 children took part in a road safety course which involved learning how to ride safely on the road.  We started on the school playground by practising signals then we moved outside onto the roads at first around the school and then around Fleckney village. Many thanks to Kevin and Mahesh for helping us.

Cross Country

On the 31st October a team of Fleckney children represented the school in  Cross Country by going to Prestwold Hall  and we successfully got some great results.

Everyone had great fun trying to improve their last score and some people made it into the top 20!! Some races had over 200 runners representing their schools.

Well done everyone!
