School S.N.A.G
Fleckney School has started a group all to do with nutrients in food and what we have in our little lunchboxes. S.N.A.G (School Nutrition Action Group) helps children learn about what's healthy and what isn't by discussing things such as a balanced diets and what's in a certain food group. The children have already been educated a little about this by, 'The Food Investigaters'- 4 children learning about foods and foods from other cultures and countries.

Warning Zone!
Year 6 went to Warning Zone last week on Monday the 5th October. There were 8 different zones and we got to go through all of them: water, house fire, electricity, alcohol, railway, personal safetyand arson. There was also an E-safety zone that was based on an old fair ground and we got to do lots of interactive stuff like throw an insult which is were we grab a bean bag with writing on and we talked about why it was horrible to say things about other people. Back on to the 8 zones and the first one is alcohol which was set out like a grave yard with fizzy pop and alcohol laid around the place. The volunteer gave us a pair of goggles that showed what it was like to be drunk. I think the whole day was absolutely fantastic and both classes loved it.
